Who we are
Cash For Junk Cars Chicago - Free Pickup LLC buys junk cars in Chicago and the suburbs of Cook, DuPage and Will counties. That is the whole business: cars, trucks, vans and SUVs that are dead, wrecked, rusted out or simply not worth another repair. We are not a used-car dealer and we don't resell running cars off a lot.
How we work
- The offer comes first. You tell us the year, make, model, condition and location, online or at (708) 578-8995, and we quote that car.
- The tow is free. We don't charge for pickup and don't deduct a towing fee from the offer.
- You are paid at pickup, when the papers are signed and the car is hooked up.
- Same-day pickup is often possible, depending on where the car is and the day's schedule.
The area we cover
Every Chicago neighborhood plus the suburbs across Cook, DuPage and Will counties, including Joliet and Aurora. Our areas page lists each town we have a page for, with the local parking and vehicle rules that affect a pickup there.
How we write the guides on this site
People selling a junk car mostly worry about paperwork and the law, so our guides stick to what can be checked. Each one links the source it relies on: the Illinois Vehicle Code, Secretary of State forms, the Chicago Municipal Code, city department pages, manufacturer recall notices. Each page shows the date it was last reviewed. Where a rule depends on your exact situation, we say so and point to the official source rather than guess.
Our town pages work the same way: the local facts on them (snow routes, overnight parking rules, a village's definition of an abandoned or inoperable vehicle) come from that town's published code or other public records, with a link to each.

Start with the quote form, or call. If you are not sure whether the car is worth more fixed, sold privately or donated, read junk, sell or donate first. We would rather you make the right call than sell us a car you should have kept.
