Junk Car Removal for the Village of Golf

We buy junk cars in the Village of Golf the same way we do across Cook County: you describe the car, accept our quote, and we tow it from your driveway or garage for free and pay you at pickup. Because 60029 is a P.O. Box ZIP, give us your street address. Same-day pickup is often possible.

A small village with simple pickups

Golf is one of the smallest places we serve: about 500 people in 185 houses, every one of them a single-family detached home. Nearly all are lived in by their owners. That means a junk car here is almost always on private property, in a driveway or a garage, which is the easiest kind of pickup there is.

Tell us the street, where on the lot the car sits, and whether it can roll. For a car parked a long time, mention flat tires or brakes that may be stuck. None of that stops the sale; it just helps us plan.

Street addresses versus the 60029 P.O. Box

The village has its own post office, and its ZIP, 60029, is a P.O. Box ZIP. If your mail comes to a box, use the street address of the house when you request a quote, not the box number. A driver needs a house number and a street.

Your title and registration may also show the box. That’s fine for the paperwork; it just isn’t where the truck goes.

Village rules and Illinois paperwork

Golf is a home-rule village that has been run largely by volunteers for most of its history, and its ordinances are published online through the village. Parking is tightly controlled around the Metra station: commuters are limited to the designated lot. Don’t count on leaving a broken car on a street near the station while you sort out a buyer.

For anything specific about vehicles or parking, ask Village Hall or the Golf Police Department.

If you have the title, sign it over at pickup. If you don’t, tell us which papers you can find, for example a registration card, an insurance card or an older bill of sale, along with a driver’s license. Which documents work for a scrap sale is set by Illinois law, and we confirm it on the call. Our page on what a junk car bill of sale should include lists the details to write down.

Glenview and Morton Grove

Golf’s students go to Glenview schools, and the village sits next to Glenview’s Golf Acres neighborhood. We also cover Glenview and Morton Grove. For everything else, see where we tow.

Selling a car in Golf: common questions

My mailing address is a Golf P.O. Box. What address do I give you?

Give us the street address where the car is actually parked. ZIP 60029 is a P.O. Box ZIP, so a box number tells a driver nothing. If you're unsure which street number to use, check your property tax bill or ask Village Hall.

My car died near the Golf Metra station. Can it wait there?

Avoid it. The village limits commuter parking to its designated lot and says there's no Metra parking anywhere else in Golf. Push the car somewhere legal if you can, and call us for a tow as soon as possible.
